Pop this roast in the slow cooker and enjoy a flavourful dinner that cooks while you’re away!
Ingredients
- 1 pork roast (2-3lbs)
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp garam marsala
- 4 large carrots peeled and cut
- 2 large onions sliced
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 cup broth
- Optional : serve with rice or salad, and apple sauce
Directions
- Prepare veggies
- Combine carrots with 1 tbsp oil and 1 tsp cumin, salt and pepper
- Season Pork with garam marsala, salt and pepper
- Add sliced onion and broth to the slow cooker
- Add pork to slow cooker
- Add carrots to slow cooker
- Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours
- Serve with optional sides
Tips
- Use the extra juices in the slow cooker to cook your rice before serving. Not only will your rice take on some of the flavour, but it will also absorb nutrients from your slow cooked veggies.
