If you’re already gluten free, and you’re still feeling like crap, you may look at changing your diet further.

One popular grain free diet option is paleo.
Why paleo?
Paleo brings food back to its basics.
Paleo removes from your diet :
- Grains
- Dairy
- Refined sugars
- Seed or vegetable oils
- Beans or legumes
- No soy
- Nothing artificial (colouring or flavours)
- Potato (I have honestly no idea why this one is removed… more on that another day)
Paleo is heavily focused on :
- Whole foods : seeds, nuts, berries, fruit, vegetables, and meat
- Sugars : maple sugar, coconut sugar, maple syrup, honey
- Fats : avocado, olive, coconut oil, tallow or ghee

Many people enjoy a paleo diet because it can reduce pain and symptoms of inflammation in the body.
The theory behind this diet is, that even though food has changed a lot since paleolithic times, that our bodies have not been able to keep up. We are much better suited to eat the foods that would naturally be available to us.
Most of the food items in the grocery store didn’t exist 100 years ago.
Food science has taken off. There are so many processed easy access foods to choose from.
But if the easy access, ready made meals, fast food and processed foods don’t make you feel the way you want to, it could be a sign to go back to basics and see how your body feels.
Even though a paleo diet restricts foods, you don’t have to track or count macros or calories. You just need to focus on eating real food. Even though its restrictive, its not overly complicated once you get going with it.
These whole foods are so healing that odds are you’ll find yourself feeling more nourished!
Paleo feels more like a lifestyle, and less like a diet. It’s a diet that you can adopt long term without any risk to yourself.
If you have chronic pain, ongoing digestive issues, or aren’t feeling the way you want to and want to explore this diet, I will spend the next few weeks exploring it. If you want to join me on this journey opt in for emails, so you won’t miss a thing.
