This is a healthy and delicious crowd pleaser that the whole family will love… and you’ll love it too because its so easy to throw together for a weeknight meal. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 pepper finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, pressed
- 1 jar of tomato sauce 24oz or 700ml
- 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup (or sugar)
- 1 box of gluten free spaghetti (I like Catelli brand)
DIRECTIONS
- Bring a pot of water to a boil
- Brown ground beef with onion over medium heat (drain excess fat if needed)
- Add chopped pepper and pressed garlic, continue cooking for acouple minutes.
- Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, maple syrup (or sugar) and stirto combine.
- Bring to a simmer then cover and turn heat to low
- When water comes to a boil, add box of gluten free spaghetti and cook to recommended time on the box.
- Strain pasta when cooked
- Serve and enjoy!
TIPS:
- You can chop and hide a lot of veggies in pasta sauce. Try adding celery, mushrooms, zucchini, carrot, or anything else that you have in your fridge. This is an awesome way to add a variety of nutrients or for using up leftovers.
- Add salt to your pot of water to keep your spaghetti noodles from sticking together
