Be prepared for a delicious freakin pasta! This is a recipe experiment gone very very right. Made with simple ingredients this one pot pasta is sure to become a family favourite.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup heavy cream (or coconut milk)
- 1/4 cup cooking wine
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed
- 2 tsp basil
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 1 box gluten free pasta
- 1 chicken breast
- 6 slices of bacon
- 2 bell peppers sliced
- 1 small onion sliced
- 3 cups baby spinach
DIRECTIONS
- Cook bacon and chicken in skillet until done, remove from skillet and slice
- Add peppers and onion to the skillet and saute for a couple minutes
- Add tomato sauce, heavy cream, cooking wine, broth, garlic, basil, sugar, black pepper and sliced chicken back to the skillet.
- Bring mixture to a simmer, then add pasta.
- Cook until pasta is tender.
- Stir in baby spinach and turn off heat.
- Top pasta with bacon
- Serve with optional parmesan cheese after the spinach is wilted.
