This quick and flavourful gluten free stirfry comes together in minutes and will become one of your weeknight dinner favourites.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb of steak cut of choice (sliced)
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 2 inches ginger root (peeled & chopped)
- 1/2 onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1 bell pepper sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 3 tbsp coconut aminos (or gluten free soy sauce)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp gluten free oyster sauce*
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp tapioca starch
- 2 tbsp water
- Green onion or Chili flakes to top
- Rice for serving
Directions:
- Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in large nonstick skillet or wok over medium heat
- Add sliced beef and cook until mostly browned
- Add onion, garlic, and ginger root and cook for 2 minutes
- Add bell pepper, mushrooms, water, coconut aminos (or gf soy sauce), pepper, oyster sauce, and sugar.
- Cover and cook for 4 minutes, or until it reaches a boil
- Add slurry of well mixed water and tapioca (or corn) starch, stir to combine
- Reduce heat and allow sauce to thicken, then serve over rice
*I use vegan oyster sauce by Naked & Saucy, it is gluten, soy and msg free. Oyster sauces often contain wheat, so read ingredients carefully. Or substitute with more coconut aminos/gluten free soy sauce
