Chicken Fajita Pizza

Turn your pizza night into a fiesta with this fun and easy twist on two classics!

Ingredients:

  • 1 boneless skinless chicken breast sliced
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 jar of salsa (choose your heat)
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 clove of garlic pressed
  • 2 tsp fajita seasoning (I used Everything Taco Seasoning)
  • 2 cups of pizza cheese shredded (or substitute with marble)
  • Gluten Free Pizza Crust prepared (or use your own mix)
  • Optional extras : sour cream, green onion, guacamole, anything else you might want to put on a fajita

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F
  2. Mix your pizza crust dough by adding all crust ingredients to a stand mixer and mixing on medium speed for 5-6 minutes
  3. Spread dough onto greased Pizza Stone or baking sheet of choice
  4. Mix sliced chicken breast with 2 tsp Everything Taco Seasoning or fajita seasoning of choice
  5. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a large skillet
  6. Saute chicken until browned slightly
  7. Add sliced peppers, onions, and pressed garlic to the skillet and cook with the chicken until chicken reaches internal temperature of 165 F
  8. Spread jar of salsa onto the prepared pizza crust
  9. Add shredded cheese on top of the salsa
  10. Spread prepared fajita mix over the pizza
  11. Cook for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden brown
  12. Serve with optional extras : anything you might throw on a fajita including (but not limited to) sour cream, guacamole, green onion, or cilantro.

Tips:

  • If your pizza dough is too sticky to spread, try pouring a little extra oil on top of your ball of dough before spreading
  • Want a fun spin on your crust? Egg wash your crust before putting it in the oven, and try sprinkling crust with one of your favourite seasonings.
