Pizza can be anything you want it to be… so why not include all the goodness of breakfast on a delightful handheld gluten free crust? It may come as no surprise that this makes for great morning leftovers
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage (or sliced breakfast sausages)
- 1/2 lb cooked bacon crumbled
- 1 cup shredded potato
- 1.5 cup shredded cheddar or marble cheese
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 green pepper finely chopped
- 5 eggs
- 1⁄4 cup cream
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Gluten free pizza crust
- Optional : hollandaise, green onion
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 425 F
2. Cook sausage and bacon
3. Microwave shredded potato for 1 minute, spread onto a towel, and press out liquid after cooled slightly
4. Mix pizza dough, spread onto pan ensuring that there is a heightened crust around the edge
5. Spread sausage across the crust
6. Mix together potato, cheese, onion, green pepper, eggs, cream, salt,and pepper in a bowl
7. Pour egg mixture over the crust and spread evenly
8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and eggs are cooked through.
Tips
- Save time the day of by precooking sausage and bacon ahead. Gluten free crust can also be prepared before so you’re ready to go day of.
- Want the best consistently crispy crusts? Don’t settle for second best, when your pizza can be better than take out. Try cooking it on a pizza stone and you will get those perfect results every time.
