It can be tricky to find a gluten free peanut sauce, and it can also be expensive when you find one. This recipe comes together in minutes, is made with ingredients that you may already have in your kitchen, and will be delicious on salads, stirfrys, or dip just about anything in it.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup coconut aminos (or gluten free soy sauce)
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp red curry paste (I use Thai Kitchen for its clean ingredients)
- 1.5 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp honey (or sugar)
- 1 inch of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 clove garlic pressed
- 3 Tbsp water
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients well.
- Store in airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Tips:
- You can replace the peanut butter with almond or cashew butter to suit your dietary requirements
- Coconut aminos are a great alternative to soy sauce. They contain very little ingredients but create a similar flavour. I buy a large jar to reduce the cost, and refill a smaller bottle for less awkward pouring.
